Out of the Doghouse: A Step-by-Step Relationship-Saving Guide for Men Caught Cheating by Robert Weiss

Allow me to introduce you to Rob Weiss, a therapist with several decades in the field treating sexual addiction and partner trauma. Rob has just published his latest book and it is a great read for anyone who has been unfaithful in their relationship and wants help and support in understanding what their partner is going through and how to rebuild trust in the relationship.

Rob has written the book predominantly to men, however women who have been unfaithful can also benefit from the wisdom he offers.  Rob uses a direct, no baloney style in laying out what has happened in the relationship because of betrayal and what it takes to repair the damage.

The Couples Guide to Intimacy: How Sexual Reintegration Therapy Can Help Your Relationship Heal by Bill Bercaw and Ginger Bercaw

Bill and Ginger Bercaw are counselors who are certified as both sex addiction therapists and sex therapists. They bring these dual specialties together in this book, one of the first written to help couples recovering from sexual addiction. Focused on answering the question, “How can we have a healthy sex life after sex addiction?” the book walks couples through a series of experiences that are designed to help them grow and develop their sexual and emotional intimacy together.  Not everyone does well with a super structured approach, so if that feels stifling to you, this book can also be used as a smorgasbord to pick and choose the different experiences that you feel you as a couple will benefit from.
